Wedding: Emily Rantz & Case Van Lare

Emily Elizabeth Rantz and Case J Van Lare were united in marriage Saturday, May 4,Like a lot of women,Custom made bicyclesaddles0? 2013, at 4:00 in the afternoon at Our Savior's Church in Lafayette, Louisiana. Pastor Jacob Aranza officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Joseph Rantz, III, of Lafayette, Louisiana. Her mother is the former Janet Menard. Her maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Joseph Menard, Jr., of Lafayette. The bride's paternal grandparents are Mrs. Elvera Bullitt Rantz of LaPlace, Louisiana and the late Mr. August Joseph Rantz, Jr. Emily is a graduate of St. Thomas More Catholic High School, Louisiana State University, and holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She is Regional Director of Hospital Development at AMG.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Van Lare of Richardson, Texas.

His mother is the former Catherine Jaccar. The groom's maternal grandparents are the late Mary Catherine Jaccar and Michael Gabriel Jaccar. His paternal grandparents are Mrs. Jean Van Lare Corteville of Venice, Florida, and the late William Van Lare. Case is a graduate of Richardson High School in Richardson, Texas, The University of Texas at Dallas, and is currently enrolled in the MBA program at the University of Texas at Tyler.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a couture gown by Allure. The gown featured a beautiful neckline with contoured cap sleeves that continued into a v-shaped back with covered button closures. The entire overlay was made of ivory lace embellished with crystal beadwork. A fit and flared silhouette and chapel-length train finished her classic look. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of soft peach and champagne antique garden roses, lily of the valley, white hydrangea, blush peonies, and peach coffee berries.

The Matron of Honor was Brittany Russo McGinnis, friend of the bride. The bridesmaids wore soft aqua-colored chiffon dresses. They carried bouquets of soft peach antique garden roses, coral peonies, and soft peach stock accented by white hydrangeas.

The best man was James Van Lare, brother of the groom. Emily and her father arrived at the ceremony in a white vintage Rolls Royce, and the bridesmaids and groomsmen arrived in pristine black limousines.

The church aisle and pews were trimmed with gathered bouquets of antique garden roses, hydrangea, and stock in shades of white, ivory, blush and soft peach accented with variegated miniature English ivy tied with lace sashes that fell to the floor. A linen carpet sprinkled with rose petals finished off the elegant look.

The altar was adorned with an arbor supported by four white columns draped in sheer ivory fabric and wreaths of hydrangea, roses, and stock surrounding the columns and a crystal chandelier in the center. French urns filled with complimentary garden flowers flanked the arbor.

The ceremonial musicians were Organist Paul Baker, along with a string quartet including Violinists Lauren Baker and Loren Laing, Violist Emil Ivanov, Cellist Emma Guidry, and Bassist Charles Federle. Trumpeter was Will Green. Classic wedding selections were chosen for the music.

Upon arrival at Oakbourne Country Club for the reception, Harpist Ashley Toman entertained the guests as wine, champagne, and a variety of hors d'oeuvres were served.

The bride's cake was a six-tiered, octagon-shaped ivory fondant cake elaborately adorned with ornate Baroque mold work and hand piping. The top of the cake held a sugar challis filled with delicate pastillage flowers.

The groom's cake was a three-tiered chocolate cake topped with dark chocolate fudge and bordered with dark and milk chocolate Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Both cakes were the artistry of Sweet Southern Ladies Designer Cakes.

Guest tables were draped with ivory rosette floor-length linens and towering garden arrangements in Mercury glass pilsner vases. Crystal votive candles accented the look.

Following dinner, guests were invited into the adjacent tent with the ceiling draped in soft white fabric, crystal chandeliers, and walls lined with beautiful ecru crinkle fabric. Fifth Avenue Band entertained the guests into the night. Tables were topped with crystal votive candles and candelabras with wreaths of garden flowers at the base.

At evening's end, guests left with bags of delicious sweets from the elegant candy bar. The bride and groom were showered with rose petals as they departed for their Hawaiian honeymoon.
